UTV joins hands with ten time national award winner Prakash Jhan for his next production “Rajneeti”. Over the years Prakash Jha Productions has made several critically acclaimed and popular movies. Rajneeti is a dark political thriller, which is inspired by Mahabharata, is a satire on the Indian political system. This multi starrer, reportedly based on the contemporary Indian political scenario, stars Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Arjun Rampal, Ajay Devgan and Nana Patekar. It is rumoured that Katrina Kaif’s character in the film is inspired by the life of Sonia Gandhi. The film is expected to hit theatres later this year. Prakash Jha have worked on “Rajneeti” screenplay for the last four years. Star cast for the film is one of the best in recent times. Rajneeti is a mother of all dramas with politics as the background and who is more adept and accomplished than Prakash Jhan to pull off a movie based on politics. Prakash Jha has always believed in the concept of ‘Cinema with Power’ and we look forward to a great story with “Rajneeti”. With Bhopal as its backdrop and five thousand trained actors from all over Madhya Pradesh working on the films landscape, “Rajneeti” is truly most exciting and ambitious venture.
