Imtiaz Ali, who is done with the script feels the Kapoors suits the roles perfectly but also fears that audience will never accept them in the romantic duo. Imtiaz Ali speaks on the issue and says, “I would love to have Kareena Kapoor in my movie, but I am also in talks with Ranbir. If he agrees, I will have to drop Kareena. I know she will hate me if I cast her brother and not her. But it can not be helped. The audience would accept. So, whoever comes up with their dates first, bags my movie”. It’s not only the Imtiaz Ali who fears casting the cousions together but several filmmakers are weary of taking siblings in a romantic roles. Film producer Madhu Mantena explains that because of a joint family system that Indians have grown up in, it is never easy to accept. Talking about acting with Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor said that may be she and Ranbir should do a movie and act as a friend, or as brother or sister, but as lovers…the actress is still not sure.
